IB DP final exams cancelled – students will be awarded
The May exams for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, provided by Jyväskylän Lyseon Upper Secondary School, will not be held.
Depending on what the students have registered for, they will be awarded a Diploma or a Course Certificate which reflects their standard of work. This is based on their coursework and the established assessment expertise, rigor and quality control already built into the programme.
The graduates will be able to improve their grades in November when Jyväskylän Lyseon Upper Secondary School will organize examination session for the IB Diploma Programme.
The announcement of cancelling the May exams was made by the International Baccalaureate Organization due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. The IB Organization will be providing more information during this week.
Worldwide there are 3421 schools offering the DP, in 157 different countries.
Jyväskylän Lyseon Upper Secondary School has offered IB Diploma Programme since 2001. Admission will be granted to 70 new applicants in the joint application system in the spring 2020.
